(From left) Radiant Highlighter 'Soin Illuminateur Eclat' in pink shade > 'Baked to Last' Bronzing Powder in 02 Warm Glow > All-In-One BB Cream in 01 |
I finally purchased the much hyped body shop staples which I first saw being used in a catwalk show sponsored by Body Shop. I was interested in the BB cream the most, as it comes out clear and then adapts to your skin tone like magic. I had a really lovely lady serve me today in store and she tested all three items on my skin and made sure I had the correct shade before I purchased them!
You can learn how to apply it below:
The highlighter, I have been looking for an alternative highlight to my favourite Yves Saint Laurent Touché Eclat, and I find it easy to use as I can blend it with my foundation brush around my cheekbones, nose and chin.
The bronzer also has multiple pigments in it and a lovely radiant shine. These 3 products will certainley be included in my everyday makeup look for summer, and I can't wait to use them.
I shall let you know how I got on anyway!
I was pleased as punch leaving the Body Shop today, as I was given 3 for 2 on the products, then an additional 20% off when signing up to the body shop card, and also a gift pack of complimentary items! Don't mind if I do!
(From Left) Honeymania Eau De Toilette > Absinthe Purifying Hand Cream > Coconut Lip Butter |
I'm very particular about my scent, I wear Chanel Chance and I have done for about two years now. It makes me feel sweet and sexy and I'm not sure I get the same effect from this Honey sugarcane scent however it was a lovely freebie and I might wear it now and again in the daytime as an alternative as it smells very fresh.
The Absinthe hand cream I absolutely love. It has a great non greasy formula and smells good too!
And as for the Coconut Lip Butter, I love the stuff and it's a nighttime alternative to Burts Bees, which I swear by for moisture if I have a case of dry lips. It also smells so good I could eat it! *Not advised* however!
Anyway..thanks Body Shop I was a very pleased customer today!
Let me know your favourite products in the comments below!

I am pleased to announce I graduated yesterday from Middlesex University with a 2:1 degree in BA Fashion Communication & Styling! I was so pleased with myself because I really worked hard designing a vintage magazine for final project and focusing in on branding and PR elements of it as well as the graphic design elements and pulling in contributions from submissions!
I'll be completely honest; university was a weird one for me. It wasn't really what I had expected: fun, friends and wild nights out for three years. I had a really good first year, a rocky second year socially with friendships taking a turn for the worst, and third year was a chance to rebuild myself as a person.
I won't go into the fine details, but to give you a jist of why university wasn't all fun and games for me I'm going to open up about this for the first time on the internet.
In second year I was bullied in a house I paid a lot of rent for, and to top it off all my so called "friends" at the time took the bully's side and I was pushed out of the social circle I had been in for the past two years, blanked and bitched about. I guess they found it easier to cut out and gang up on someone rather than see they are having a really hard time and give them a shoulder to cry on.
I never wanted to lose a particular friend in this group.
Infact, we joked about still being friends when old and wrinkly all the time. This friend watched me sob for hours over what was happening at home and watched me pack my bags and leave - but in the end, this 'friend' decided to turn her back on me completely.
Ignorance is bliss, right? I felt then, and still feel, she took the easy way out of the situation.
I'm facing this now and I'm telling you this was NOT the right decision.
During third year, life around the campus felt like a scene from Mean Girls, (of course they wouldn't see it that way - although it's different when you are in the circle and when you are clearly out, and I'm sure somewhere in the back of their heads somewhere they must know that ignoring me at point blank range was wrong).
On reflection, if it hadn't been for the things that went so catastrophically wrong in my personal life around this time, I wouldn't have become this mature and I would still see things with rose coloured spectacles. I believe I was an easier target back then for this bully who clearly had something of a narcissistic personality, and I'm sure of it, still does today.
I have toughened up, that is for sure, and even though it was absolutely horrible to deal with at the time, anyone who has been bullied will know what I'm talking about by feeling mentally stronger once you face it and get on with your own life. I made a decision to finish what I started at Uni and turned the negativity into working hard and achieving my goals in the final year.
I know that if anyone ever tried to treat me like that again I'd tell them exactly where to stick it, that's for sure!
I am coming through the other side now and entering the real world, and I'm happy to leave those negative, mean people behind.
So I'm holding this degree up and I feel like I've been in and out of a war zone emotionally, but I did it. As Janis-Ian quotes, "Suck on that!"

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of outfit posts this week - I have been pretty busy at work (summer jobs), and also got a new job lined up for a receptionist position over this season. I just finished uni so a full time job and living at home for a while is really saving my ass (bank accounts). Hoping to get my own place again soon and hopefully put my graphic design skills to use in the future, but for now I'm just working and saving, publishing Jitterbox this week and I will be concentrating on blogging and making videos for Youtube, and i think confidence with video making comes with experience! I'm really into my beauty, fitness and retro fashion lifestyle right now so I'd love to document it on this blog and via my channel.
As for my hair, I'm so happy to say that the only bleached part of my hair is the few wispy highlights around my face. The base colour is a semi-permanent dye! My hairdresser is a genius. It feels soft and silky again without bleach on my roots at all and I'm really enjoying this more natural blonde shade! Hope you guys like it! I'm literally taking photos in my parents bedroom , excuse the old crazy pictures on the walls but the lighting was good today *wink wink*.
It's been really hot and sunny out but now it's the evening I felt I needed something on my shoulders.
Furry Top - Primark
Skirt - Whistles Mountain Print Skirt (AW/13)
Pink fisherman Jelly Sandals - Boohoo they now don't stock the baby pink - they have a cute selection of yellow, blue and hot pink.
Bamboo Earrings - Bow & Crossbones (from £4)

Hi everyone! Just an update here really - I shot a test for my retro/mid century modern unisex fanzine Jitterbox yesterday.
I have already completed the women's editorial so yesterday was all about the men!
If you follow me on Twitter you will know I've been posting non-stop on my personal and work accounts looking for male models, photographers, barbers and reproduction clothing designers to step forward, as myself and the fashion stylist had a major disaster with the original photographer pulling out just two hours before we were due to shoot on Sunday.
Naturally, I was distressed, having spent two weeks of precious final deadline time working on Jitterbox and planning this photo-shoot with a top photographer, only to find the stack of cards topple at the last moment.
Although fashion looks and sounds glamorous with all these photo-shoots and good looking people - I assure you it can be very much the opposite when something goes wrong and it's out of your control.
Tight deadlines, no sleep & crashing on my sisters sofa for 5 days flat because of the cancellation and having to hang around in the city
until our shoot was completed..
I was very, very tired at this point.
So everything had turned bad - and then suddenly my working head went on again and I found a photographer, approached him professionally and it clicked back into place, and I was a happy editor once again!
We shot a with a great agency model who has a very bright future ahead of him, and the shoot was a success. I have just received all of the thumbnail shots now so I will be editing this magazine for the rest of the week.
Looking forward to sharing this project with you guys and also developing myself as a blogger in the next few upcoming months!
I will release all credits when the issue goes live! Check my instagram for behind the scenes!
Stay Foxy,
Sarah
Hi everyone! It's sooo super sunny today. I had my hair done yesterday, I've decided to give it a rest from bleaching and although I'm not completely happy with the colour it is at the moment, a dark gold blonde, it's ok for now. I think I'll have a few highlights the next time I see my hairdresser just so it frames my face more. I was going for more of the Victoria's Secret's sort of gold blondes but it's ended up quite one-tone. I think I need more than one sitting. However it was about three different colours, bleached to death and big roots before so major kudos to my amazing hairdresser for sorting that out!!!!!
Here is my look for the day. It's lovely and sunny by the coast today so I'm squinting away here, but I'm really enjoying this blue faux leather skirt from Zara with my gingham bralet at the moment.
Hi guys! Today I'm just working on my magazine, Jitterbox. Sorting out the content and working on getting some clothes in from brands to use in a menswear shoot.
It's pretty grey here today but I'm brightening things up in a pastel set around the house!

Hi everyone! I made the transition from moving out of my London pad back to the family home in Somerset on Thursday (financial reasons - planning on using these few months of no rent to save up for trips abroad so far!).
I don't have to travel back to London for my lessons at uni this week because it's Easter. Hope you all had a great Easter Sunday. As for the chocolate egg tradition, usually I would get loads of easter eggs but people must have realised I'm watching my weight as i only received one this year! One is enough really, I am the biggest "chocoholic" ever.
Hope you enjoy todays outfit! Underneath my roll neck jumper I wore this little Strappy Seam Crop Top from Topshop, totally gone braless today. Slight mess up in London, half the stuff I had to leave at my sisters place and pick up later consisted of most of my black/strapless bras so whatever I'm au natural ;).
Everything else I'm wearing is from Whistles, apart from my Rocket Originals shoes.
Because I worked for Whistles recently, I really accumulated a wardrobe full of Whistles clothing, which I'm not moaning about because the brand is great and they really nail chic for the modern city woman.
Unfortunately my skirt is AW/13 and came out just before the Christmas break so you might have a hard time finding it in store as they have very limited stock. The good news is, there are similar styles of skirts like this they keep bringing out, and you can find it for around £95.00.
My silk roll neck, you will be pleased to know has gone down in the sale to £45.00.
My metallic bag/cluch is also Whistles, but the rose/gold is sold out. However, the Rivington Chain Clutch can be found in multiple different colours in store, for example this lovely bright orange.
Stay foxy!

Hi everyone!
It's a beautiful day in London today. The sun is actually rather blinding. I took the camera outside for some snaps earlier of my outfit because I'm really summery today and it's the first time I've worn my dogtooth coordinate set from Missguided, because it's finally warm enough to warrant getting some skin out.
I got these metallic heeled 'Sharna' sandals from Clarks S/S14 range. I am highly impressed at how on trend they are. I have also worked for Clarks, many years ago, and the styles used to be much more old-fashioned than this!
They have cushioned soles so they were perfect for finishing my last few weeks at Whistles off at, stomping around a showroom all day.
I finished working at Whistles on Friday, and I'm moving back to Somerset for a couple of months on Thursday, so my life is changing rapidly and quite frankly I'm looking forward to it.
Posted this to my instagram, follow me for more @sarahlouisenuttall
My earrings are from an amazing mid-century design enthusiast brand, Luxulite. So thrilled to wear these with summer clothes!
Stay foxy.

Today I went to Bethan's (Bettina Scarlett's) mid-century market at the Hammersmith Club with my friend and burlesque dancer Isabelle L'Amour.
The stalls were really awesome and I bought a few things from You're naked without one and Bow & Crossbones which I might do a haul on. I saw a great original 1950's lurex two piece suit from a vintage stall which I nearly bought but I had to stop myself because I've already purchased too many clothes this month, and I'm about to move house, so got to look after those pennies (and pack everything).
This was my outfit today, taken when I came home so the lighting is a bit off I'm afraid there wasn't much time to do it this morning.
My top is from vintage reproduction brand Freddies of Pinewood
My trousers are actually Primark (blushes), they are more or less a copy of the Topshop Joni jeans and have so much stretch. They hold me in the right places and are a great high waisted everyday jean, for half the price of Topshop! I love a good bargain.
My shoes are a copy of a 50's sandal. You can find them at Rocket Originals.
My jacket and bag are both vintage, both found in charity shops! I believe the jacket to be late 50's or early 60's as the buttons are very atomic styled, of the era, there are no labels and most of the interior looks hand-stitched. It looks to be a one off. I am not sure how old the bag is, it's a typical granny-style bag and I wear it to death!
My earrings are Topshop a few months back so not sure if they are still around!
Hope you are all well!
Sarah
