I am still a lost graduate trying to secure a job! I am interning at the moment and also attending interviews. I'm hoping to land something permanent soon and everything seems very positive with feedback since I started my newest internship.
I'm already looking for a new hybrid city bike, although I will probably bring my vintage 60's bike 'Poppy' along with me wherever I end up. At the moment I'm either going to be based in London, Bristol, Bath or Exeter depending who snaps me up first. SO it's safe to say I'm not sure what will happen but only time will tell.
My 1960's city bike, polished up and found in my neighbours shed. She is elderly and gifted this bike to me!

I'm really excited about this stage of my life. Everything is changing. I'm no longer a student for one, and I'm hoping to get things together with the rest of my life, continue making more effort with the people I care for and feel content! I'd also really love to have some time and my own space to blog regularly as it is something I am really enjoying!
I'll keep this space updated.
Take care, Stay Foxy!

London Design Festival saw a gorgeous palette of sorbet yellow and dusky pinks on modernist designs. A few favourites were these boomerang shaped chairs from the Couch Potato Company, 'Falling Cube' print cushions from Pentreath Hall and Tom Faulkner's 'Vienna Chair'.

This edit was all about the inspirational sixties shapes that have flooded the catwalk.
Notable new designer and recent graduate behind the faux fur brand 'Shrimps' has inspired celebs such as Kate Moss and Alexa Chung, who have been spotted wearing the colourful faux creations.
Shrimps has sparked a debate on whether real fur is needed in fashion, with such great replica materials available. Anna Wintour, head of US Vogue and global fashion icon has previously been spotted in real fur by Prada (below).

What are your thoughts and feelings on real fur vs faux?

The great thing about working in PR is getting to explore all of the new exhibitions so I am completely 'in-the-know' of the press world.
The Horst exhibition at the V&A offered a wonderful collection of traditional photography in silver gelatin prints which are exceptionally preserved.
Horst was a master at capturing fine details, creating exquisite set designs and using shadows and highlights to create a 'mood' about his photographs.
Some of the most beautiful women in history are captured in this collection, such as Marlene Dietrich, along with the largest collection of Vogue front covers I have ever seen dating from the 30's through to the 50's.
What I also found surprising was photo re-touching was possible in some of Horst's 1939 work for Vogue, including an interesting corset photo, 'Mainboucher Corset' where it had been pulled in.
The original however, before the retouching is shown below.

The transition from black and white imagery to colour is a real shock but Horst executed it perfectly. A lot of the prints you will see in the exhibiton have not been widely published elsewhere, and were only printed for Condé Nast.
The exhibition runs from the 6th September to the 4th January 2015 and is a must-see for any vintage, fashion and photographic lover.
You can visit the V&A's website here for more information.
I am really loving Swedish Hasbeen shoes, the ASOS coat & jackets sale, Vivien of Holloway pocket shorts and these wonderful printed trousers by Motel Rocks.
As for what I've been up to - I've not had much time to blog recently, due to leaving my role at the reception desk and getting back on track to my dream career in PR. I moved back to the big city that London is last week which was a huge contrast going from living in Somerset for a few months - where I had the best time I may add, met some great people and partied hard and worked even harder!
Right now I'm currently interning again.
I have started working on some really exciting press coverage which I wish I could spill the beans about but I can't for our clients privacy reasons really! The main thing is I'm part of one of the biggest festivals in design this year and that makes me a very happy person, even if I am literally at the bottom of the career ladder - I do intend to climb it, even if there is a hell of a lot of competition!
I have been house hunting as well, as staying on your sisters couch isn't always the best thing but girl got to do what she gotta do when getting a job these days. I've already viewed a few places but there's a distinct lack of places up to let at the moment, unless you wanna live with a weirdo, then there is loads ha!
Anyway take care - stay happy and healthy people!
