The faux fur trend is booming since Shrimps launched her new S/S15 collection at London Fashion Week. You will be sure to stand out and look a million bucks this season in either designer or high street alternatives, my favs I have picked out for you so you don't need to do so much hunting!

I am still a lost graduate trying to secure a job! I am interning at the moment and also attending interviews. I'm hoping to land something permanent soon and everything seems very positive with feedback since I started my newest internship.
I'm already looking for a new hybrid city bike, although I will probably bring my vintage 60's bike 'Poppy' along with me wherever I end up. At the moment I'm either going to be based in London, Bristol, Bath or Exeter depending who snaps me up first. SO it's safe to say I'm not sure what will happen but only time will tell.

I'm really excited about this stage of my life. Everything is changing. I'm no longer a student for one, and I'm hoping to get things together with the rest of my life, continue making more effort with the people I care for and feel content! I'd also really love to have some time and my own space to blog regularly as it is something I am really enjoying!

London Design Festival saw a gorgeous palette of sorbet yellow and dusky pinks on modernist designs. A few favourites were these boomerang shaped chairs from the Couch Potato Company, 'Falling Cube' print cushions from Pentreath Hall and Tom Faulkner's 'Vienna Chair'.

This edit was all about the inspirational sixties shapes that have flooded the catwalk.
Notable new designer and recent graduate behind the faux fur brand 'Shrimps' has inspired celebs such as Kate Moss and Alexa Chung, who have been spotted wearing the colourful faux creations.
Shrimps has sparked a debate on whether real fur is needed in fashion, with such great replica materials available. Anna Wintour, head of US Vogue and global fashion icon has previously been spotted in real fur by Prada (below).

The great thing about working in PR is getting to explore all of the new exhibitions so I am completely 'in-the-know' of the press world.
The Horst exhibition at the V&A offered a wonderful collection of traditional photography in silver gelatin prints which are exceptionally preserved.
Horst was a master at capturing fine details, creating exquisite set designs and using shadows and highlights to create a 'mood' about his photographs.
Some of the most beautiful women in history are captured in this collection, such as Marlene Dietrich, along with the largest collection of Vogue front covers I have ever seen dating from the 30's through to the 50's.
What I also found surprising was photo re-touching was possible in some of Horst's 1939 work for Vogue, including an interesting corset photo, 'Mainboucher Corset' where it had been pulled in.

The transition from black and white imagery to colour is a real shock but Horst executed it perfectly. A lot of the prints you will see in the exhibiton have not been widely published elsewhere, and were only printed for Condé Nast.
The exhibition runs from the 6th September to the 4th January 2015 and is a must-see for any vintage, fashion and photographic lover.
